Forces Are Everywhere

Right now, several forces are acting on you.

Gravity is pulling you down toward the center of the Earth. Your chair (or the floor) is pushing back up to support you.

When you push a door, your hand applies a force to move it. When you catch a ball, your hands apply a force to stop it.
